About Us

  1. Working towards a situation in which children with special educational need,s and those at risk of exclusion, together with their parents, are able to achieve appropriate high quality educational outcomes.
  2. Identifying pro-active and preventative interventions designed to address inequitable treatment of children and their parents facing difficult circumstances, so that they can achieve effective outcomes towards improved life chances
  3. Effectively and appropriately signposting parents to further organisations able to meet the other needs of their children.
  4. Ensuring EPC keeps abreast of all relevant information on statutory services for children and young people in relation to their learning.
  5. On the basis of firm evidence, to challenge the inequities of the statutory services in relation to children and young people facing difficulties accessing learning.
  6. Continuing to ensure that EPC has effective governance, leadership, management and funding.

How We Work

EPC believes in equal opportunities and access to inclusive education for children and young people. Our purpose is to enable parents/carers to become knowledgeable and confident about services in the voluntary and statutory sectors, to achieve the best outcomes for their children.

EPC also works directly with children and young people to allow them to take part in activities and experiences that might not otherwise be available to them. Our programmes are designed to broaden their knowledge and raise expectations. We work to help them develop and mature, through whatever difficulties they may be dealing with, in a positive and enjoyable way.

Board of Directors

We have a Board of Directors (volunteer Trustees) who work with the staff, giving them direction, guidance and support. The Directors are from all areas of the Enfield Community and meet about 6/8 times a year. Once a term Professional Advisers from education, health, preschool, social and psychology services also attend to learn about our work and share information on their services.
