Transition and Preference Advice

This Service gives information and advice to parents/carers whose children are moving from Primary to Secondary school.

Our aim is to inform parents who find it difficult to understand the application process.

We also explain the procedures if parents wish to lodge an appeal when they are not given their preferred school and give advice and information on how to write a statement of appeal.

Many of the parents we work with speak English as a second language.
