Parent Support Advisor (PSA)

The aim of the PSA is to engage and to enable parents/carers to become more directly engaged in their children’s learning with particular emphasis on transition from primary to secondary school and by doing so forge good relationships between parents and school staff.

The PSA supports 4 schools in the borough delivering parent workshops on a range of topics, parent surgeries and one-to-one where necessary. Our focus is to support and empower parents/carers so they in turn can engage more fully in their child’s learning. Thus enabling their children to reach their full potential, especially in terms of attainment and attendance at school.
